Missing many hours of footage since the last video since the Series X WILL NOT record most of the time, using an external HDD. Its been messed up since the April update. Decided to use my work around for the end of the game, which is using an Avermedia LGP 2 device to record. This limits games to stereo sound with no HDR, but its not a huge deal for this game. Figured I would get some concluding gameplay footage to cap off the playthrough.

I did replace my Series X with a new one and that did not fix the recording issues, when using the external HDD. It did however fix my controller disconnect issue which seemed to happen once every 2 hours or so. I havent had a controller disconnect in maybe 12-14 hours since I set up the new console. Thats a big deal with some of these harder challenges, like Vanquish Tactical Challenge # 6 that Ive been working on, so atleast that seems resolved. For games such as Lies Of P, I may need to continue my save on my PC using Game Pass for PC. The saves transfer over to the PC versions for games on the service. I can record much more reliably on PC then Series X currently, unless I want to limit myself to stereo sound.

I would have started the Elden Ring DLC , however the game is not on Game Pass so I cant transfer my save to the PC version. I have many hours on my completed file of the game on Series X, so I may wait until this recording issue is fixed. Worst case I may have to play it in stereo using the other device. We will see if firmware ever fixes this issue.
