Sonic Frontiers was like this for over 8 months on Nvidia GPUs on Linux
It appears that Sonic Frontiers was fixed for Nvidia GPUs, because now I am able to finally get 60fps at 4k. And I find it funny that this issue was fixed two weeks after posting this video, I know this video did not get any real views but it is funny that the game was fixed finally. But what I don't know if it is just fixed for me or if the game has actually been fixed. I don't see many people talking about the issues this game had on Linux and Nvidia cards and that was why I made this video in the first place. Bad PC ports will always bother me regardless if they are fixed later, issues like this should never come up because video games are not cheap and neither is the hardware that runs them. I love this game and it bothered me that because I switched to Linux I was unable to play the game until recently.
Original description:
This is what happens if you try to play this game on Linux with an Nvidia GPU. And yes it did crash at the end. No this video is not edited in any way. This is inexcusable with how bad this game is on Linux with an Nvida card. My system can get on average 120 fps in Returnal at 4k but this game I am lucky to get 5 fps. The only reason I made this video is to show that on Linux this game is unplayable on an Nvidia card and this game has been out for more than 8 months now. On Windows this game is fine and if you are on Linux with an AMD card or you use the Steam Deck the game runs fine. But on a Nvidia card this game is broken and is completely unplayable.
