Sonic Generations Speedruns: Planet Wisp
2Welcome to Sonic Generations Speedruns! This will be a series of brief videos, much like my SA2B A-Rank sets, demonstrating high-end gameplay. Its nothing amazing, mind you, but I'd like to be able to share my tricks with friends and the like, so here ya go. This video contains Planet Wisp Act 1 and 2.
When I first heard about Sonic Colors I was a little skeptical I'll admit, the name almost made it sound like it was a spin-off title like Secret Rings, but it was flagged as a mainstream title. When I played it though, I was blown away. Aside from a few quirks (recycled bosses are laaaame) Colors was easily the best Sonic game in years, and out of all of the cool levels in it, Planet Wisp stands out as one of the most memorable. The soundtrack in particular has a tendency to get stuck in your head.
Fun fact: The record I broke in this Modern Speedrun was, at the time I set it, Rank #3 in the world, off by 5 seconds for 2nd and 8 seconds for 1st. Had I managed THIS run back THEN, it might well have been the world record for a brief period. Imagine that. Of course, now with exploits and area-skipping shortcuts found, its reduced to rank 130 or so, but y'know what? I'm happy just having beat my old rank 3 record.
