That's right. November 1st is here, and it turns out the Gamestop I pre-ordered this from had a midnight release. I got there just when they were about to pack up, so I bring to you Sonic Generations.

In this game, the Time Eater shows up and sends Sonic and his buddies all throughout the timeline--past, present, and future, but all of them places Sonic has already visited, just made more dangerous. As for Sonic himself, he's flung back to 1991 in Green Hill Zone. He eventually runs into the Sonic from this time period, and the two Sonics are henceforth known as Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic, respectively. Together, they follow the timestream up to face off against Time Eater, whose time portals seem so precise that it seems to have a personal grudge against Sonic somehow...
