Is the High Quality option available for this one? If so, it looks like I'm doing it right this time.

Anyway, racetracks in Sonic Riders come in pairs, known as the Heroes stage and the Babylon stage. The Babylon counterpart to Metal City is set a little later that day and is aptly called "Night Chase." Don't be fooled by comparing maps of Metal City and Night Chase and noticing they're almost exactly the same! The Babylon stages are almost always significantly more difficult. Night Chase is no exception. The first half of the course takes place under the regular Metal City area. Instead of a wide open road, it begins in a small underground area cluttered with generators (unless you take the top path). It then makes a hairpin turn into a tunnel, where there are tons and tons of police cars. After this, the course is mostly the same as Metal City.

Rest assured; as the game goes on, the Babylon stages get more and more different.

The character I'm using for this one is Jet the Hawk. He's the leader of the Babylon Rogues, and he's featured as a Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Go ahead, take a look at your trophy collection. He's a self-proclaimed master of "extreme gear racing," and he's classified as a Speed-type character. That means he can grind on rails, which you'll see him doing right near the beginning.

Another important mechanic you never saw me use in Metal City is Turbulence, this game's way of slipstreaming. Behind each racer is a huge trail of rushing wind, except for the racers already riding someone's slipstream. The slipstreams essentially function as quarterpipes or halfpipes; your speed is boosted while in them, and if you can perform a trick using the arrows on the sides, you gain a HUGE boost in speed. It's the best way to catch up to someone in the game. It's an interesting system, since it puts an emphasis on catching up rather than maintaining a lead. Nevertheless, I pulled so far ahead of everybody in the second lap that Jet has become a one-man (or is it one-bird?) show.
