Sonic Robo Blast 2 v2.2: Deep Sea Zone Act 2 Time Emblem w/Tails (2:12)
6Just a small filler video while I get work done on the SRB2 review. It's looking like a post New Years release, so hopefully this will tide you over. This is my run of the second act of Deep Sea Zone for the time emblem, which requires a time of 2 minutes and 15 seconds.
This is a brutal run. Pretty much only the path I took will get you a fast time, and tons of optimization is needed, requiring precise jumping, flying, and spin dashing. It starts incredibly tough with the beginning, getting through the water-slide section as fast as possible requires very precise movement to avoid running into walls. From there, it's a simple matter of timing and mapping out the fastest way to get through. The only other major problem area is the spike wall after the area with the crushing pillars, which killed a majority of my runs, and is by far the hardest part of the level. It's certainly tough, but simple trial and error through the ghost system that Record Mode uses can help you majorly to see what needs to optimized for the fastest time. I'm sure others have gotten faster times, so I'm interested to see how you obtained this emblem! Enjoy!
