Sonic the Hedgehog 03: Launch Base Zone Act 0I (YM2I5I and Dual DAC)
Original Date of Creation: July 020 of 20I6.
The Yamaha YM2I5I is a lovely piece of hardware, and even when emulated, it is debatably still one of the best sound chips that has ever come out of the I98X decade, especially with the way that it works on tracks that originally utilized the YM24I3, YM2608, YM26I2, and/or YM3438.
Sonic the Hedgehog 03 is one of those titles where the quality of the OST only continues to become better and better over time, and this is especially true when it comes to remixing; in this version, you get to listen to what Launch Base Zone Act 0I's track would probably sound like when it is run on a YM2I5I with the assistance of Dual DAC channels, VAdaPEGA's Classics Hub entry "Sonic 03 & Knuckles (except every "GO!" sample is replaced by a very bitcrushed "BILL!" sample from Bill Nye the Science Guy)" also was an influence for this track, as you will tell from the many "Bill!" cues in it, it is the best way to remix the remix more than it already was, the original was fun and will only improve with each remix, that is a guarantee indeed.
Launch Base Zone Act 0I's track was composed by Michael Jackson's composing team and is copyright to Sega I993 and I994.
The "Bill" cue was recorded by and is copyright to Mike Greene I993.
The concept for Sonic 03 & Knuckles (except every "GO!" sample is replaced by a very bitcrushed "BILL!" sample from Bill Nye the Science Guy) was created by and is copyright to VAdaPEGA 20I6.
