Sons of Sol - Top Down Destruction - Let's Preview
9Welcome to Sons of Sol my friends! This game aims to mix Asteroids-style physics-based top down shooting with Wing Commander/Freespace-style mission-based gameplay. I've just been given a demo of one mission to try out, and it involves taking out some pirates and protecting some freighters. Eventually you're given wingmen to help out, and I so love the comm system you use to give them orders. Very streamlined. The combat is fast-paced and fun, and I am terrible at it, as I am at many top-down games. Overall though, this shows tremendous potential, so head on over to Steam Greenlight (while it's still around) and vote 'em up!
