To make it clear. THIS IS NOT HOW TO RECORD DS GAMES ( for some reason I'm expecting this) BUT HOW TO ENCODE ( RENDER/COMPRESS) 2 videos into 1 in sync. I use Sony Vegas and didn't try others so unless ITS related to sony vegas its kinda useless to ask how to do it on other programs.

Oh and sorry if the words go by too fast .. I didn't notice lol

Anyway as I said I was going to do in the video

on the first video right click and and select Video event pan/crop and then change these values I write below.

Width: 512
Height:192
X Center: 256
Y Center: 96
Maintain aspect: No

The video should be resized and its on 1 side of the screen. Now on the video of the second layer change the values as I write them below

Width: 512
Height:192
X Center: 0
Y Center: 288
Maintain aspect: No

and now both screens are shown in Horizontal
