Soul Calibur 3 - Gameplay (3/3) | PCSX2 1.7.3189 AVX2 | Ryzen 7 5800H | RTX 3070 140W | 1440p
Soul Calibur 3 released exclusively on PS2, for as unfortunate as that might have been. On the bright side, however the third title's everything the previous others were, and more.
Graphics have been reworked from the ground up to take full advantage of what the console could and couldn't do. Colour palettes, textures, particles, water animations, reflections, and so on, all've been reworked around the capabilities of the hardware, and as a result, not a single texture or model look out of place. Everything's evenly balanced and beautiful.
Gameplay's been tweaked and some characters have had their techniques remapped or changed entirely for the better or worse. Like the games that came before, this release introduces new modes, many more costumes, whole new characters, and a story mode that now feels higher in budget than ever before.
