MainStays is my series where I play my favorite part(s) of my favorite fighting games with my favorite character(s) (what you would call a Main) of said game.

Soul Calibur by Namco is a long running fighting game series which started with Soul Edge in 1995 and is still ongoing with the release of Soul Calibur VI in 2018. However, Soul Calibur II is the only entry in the series I have played, thanks to it being released on the Nintendo Gamecube, thought I do want to try my hands at VI (or whatever comes next) some day. In it's newer entries, this series is well known for it's amount of customization - in Soul Calibur II, that is for the most part not the case. The long running challenge/story mode, called Weapon Master, does however allow players to unlock a multitude of weapons for each character to use in the games Extra Modes.
My mains in this game are Talim and Cervantes.

Cervantes is less fluid than Talim and focuses more on his inhuman strenght, though, his charge attacks can still make him strike his enemies like lightning!
