Playing a Wii motion game by swinging a PS5 controller around is not optimal!

I found the game enjoyable however the lack of level variety is a bit disappointing given that you replay them so much. I think the game is a bit underrated honestly.

There are quite a few plot holes in this game:
Spoilers!!! Watch before reading
.
.
.
In the prologue, technically you should fight Inferno instead of Cervantes.
Without the shards of Soul Edge within Cervantes, he would not be able to later return as a ghost.
Why does Iska keep going on about wanting power when he technically rules the Holy Roman Empire?
How did no one notice that the emperor was a different person, as the new one is based on Iska's sister?
What happens to Astaroth α (Does he stay with Mitsurugi)?
Why does no one chase after Siegfried after the final battle?
Why did Siegfried try to leave Soul Edge and Soul Calibur in the throne room after beating the emperor (anyone could have taken it and become a huge threat)?
Why did Siegfried leave Soul Calibur behind after beating Iska when he could have easily taken it?
Why did Siegfried hold onto Soul Edge instead of sealing or destroying it?
How did Barbaros become so corrupted and control 'Evils' from Soul Edge with Soulcalibur?
How did they hold off a massive destructive giant for so long?
How would Barbaros have Soul Calibur when Xianghua's mother should have it?

Soulcalibur 6 changes Iska into a 'being of Astral Chaos' who tries to manipulate people into giving into Soul Edge. If that is the case wouldn't that somewhat ruin his backstory for this game? How would he become ruler of the Holy Roman Empire? Was his sister a lie, but then what about the graves?

Other ideas:
Was Barbara, Barbaros' daughter?
Ivy's sword has been said to have been created by either Ivy or her father in different games. It being given to her by Leonardo could make sense if it truly was her father who made it as they could have worked on it together, however, the sword only becomes alive due to a ritual involving Nightmare.

I think the easiest solution for this game is to say it was a kind of fever dream Siegfried was experiencing between the time of Soul Edge and Soulcalibur 1. He may have seen Taki and Sophitia during their fight with Cervantes. Ivy, Astaroth and Lizardmen work with him as Nightmare. The only outlier for people he may have seen and could be included in a weird fever dream is Mitsurugi (and Lloyd). He may have heard of Fafnir the dragon from German folk tales and could have prior knowledge of Egypt and Leonardo da Vinci. The variation in the levels could be the same locations being remembered slightly altered. The spike traps show other weapons he has wields. He even fights Nightmare a 'future' vision or probably a mental test to try and break free from.

I think an explanation like this could bring the game into canon in an interesting way and also bypass most of the plot problems. Iska repeatedly wanting power even though he controls the Holy Roman Empire could be a subconscious way of Soul Edge trying to keep Siegfried under it's control. By reminding and trying to convince Siegfried that he only needs power and that he needs Soul Edge. This would make Iska being a 'being of Astral Chaos' make sense. He is merely there to goad Siegfried on and to gain power for Soul Edge and in the end, to make him think that holding on to Soul Edge will allow him to defeat any evil he may come across, all while actually being controlled by Soul Edge.

Siegfried wants to gain power until he remembers the dangers of the sword (In the dream it is by being told by his friends/warriors he may have previously encountered, maybe other times it can be by Schwarzwind). He then remembers the truth about the death of his father and decides he does not need Soul Edge. Iska and Soul Edge feeling threatened that Siegfried may try to break free, decide that his 'oldest friend on his journey' should now become evil. Siegfried will now have to rely on Soul Edge and come to believe again that he needs the sword. He will also learn that his friends may not be trusted and solitude may be best for him. It could be an allegory and a cycle for his mental struggle under Soul Edge before the blade is weakened by Kilik and Xianghua in Soulcalibur 1 and Raphael in Soulcalibur 2.

This can also explain why people don't recognize Siegfried after being freed from Nightmare unless this is changed in dialogue in Soulcalibur 7. (The journey he shared with them may not have been true).

I'll be chuffed if this explanation becomes right later.
