Last week, we got invited to join the press preview for Mandragora, an upcoming 2.5D side-scroller action-RPG with deep Metroidvania and Soulslike elements. In this game, you play as an Inquisitor, playing as one of the several available classes, hunting down witches and monsters at the bidding of the King Priest.

I throughly enjoyed Mandragora. From the presentation, the ambiance, the feel, the combat, the exploration, everything felt both sinister and somber. The game is serious in its tone and fully commits to the bit. This world is dark, and there's nothing not tainted by corruption.

This game will instantly be purchased by me when I get my hands on a full copy. It's just so good, and there are multiple builds to try out, multiple classes to sink my teeth into, branching storylines to get immersed in, and a New Game + to dive back into when the game comes out in April 17 on PC (Steam, Epic Game Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo
Switch.
