SP dropping is the deliberate act of lower the SP of your hangar in order to be paired against easier players and bots. I won't go into detail this is done, but it centres around having one OP bot and using that one mech to dominate the match. It's an exploit and flaw in the game's design and match making algorithm. If you are thinking of trying it or are, then do everyone and yourself a favour and stop it.
