Space Attack (Atari 2600)
11This game was released as Space Attack for the Atari 2600, and as Space Battle for the Intellivision. Both games were made by Mattel. The video here is of the Atari 2600 version.
Space Attack is divided into two parts. Half the time, you control a small strategy section where you deploy three ships to engage aliens. There are two waves with three alien ships each, and the game ends once you either destroy them all or if you allow the aliens to capture the center base.
The other half is more fun in my opinion. You control a first person shooter section where you have to fire at alien ships. It is also possible to have the explosions of one ship hit another ship.
It is a short game though; this video shows off a successful run and there is no point system. There are multiple difficulty settings however.
I do own the physical cartridge (Atari 2600 version) for this game.
