Always Board Never Boring ranks Space Crusade as his second-favourite game of all time. One of the things he really enjoys is the short story presented as comic book panels throughout the rules, which helps to set the scene by recounting a previous effort of a group of space marines to infiltrate and cleanse the space hulk. It always reminded ABNB of the scene from Aliens where the marines are systematically wiped out in their first encounter with the aliens, and much of what happen plays out over broken radio transmissions.
