An interesting thing learned today is that the mass of the entire vessel is applied to one side of the rotor in some way, such that having landing gear deployed and trying to harvest this much stone was stopping the main drillhead rotor from spinning.

It took me a bit to think of trying it, but as soon as I would clear some of the stone out of cargo the drillhead would start spinning. My drillheads were not filling up- I originally had the large cargo tower directly on the craft, just behind the control seat. It's interesting that the mass of cargo can have an effect like that through when the entire piston assembly is on it's own rotor subgrid. No shaking or wobbling when I emptied the cargo, drillhead rotation just went back to normal.

Also I am still looking for more name submissions for the drill head!

The lead right now is:

Super Hyper Mega Totally Automatic Drilling Rig (S.H.M.T.A.D.R.)

and second place is

Slave to Armok
