Space Engineers - Grid pattern Magnetic Plate Lock Switch Control. Set up
0Wanted to figure out way to control large-ish number of blocks(in this case Magnetic Plate) with only 3 buttons.
One for selecting forward, one for backward, and one for toggle selected one.
Recorded and edited this video to see if anyone have better idea or feed back. as well as in case i forget and needs a reminder how it was set up.
my friend helped me with equation that tells this set up should be able to be expanded at rate of 2*sqrt(6T) timer block(rounded up) for given T. In this case, 16 plates to control, T = 16, so minimum number of timer block is 2 * sqrt(96) ~=19.56 = 20 timer blocks. though since it's set up in grid pattern, some T would be not quite as efficient. (i.e. 15 would be 3 x 5 pattern of 19 timer. 14 would be 3x5 pattern of 19 timer with one block missing. might as well control 15 blocks.)
