Space Hulk PlayStation 1 PS1 Game Campaign Walkthrough / Playthrough (Part #8)
Released in 1996 for the PlayStation 1, "Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels" was a port of the original Panasonic 3DO game released in 1995. Being set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, this game was based off the Space Hulk board game from 1989. In this game, you take the role of a Terminator robot who must prevent a Space Hulk ship from destroying Delvar 3, a planet where billions of lives are at stake. As a tactical first-person shooter, you must plan out your missions carefully and destroy all Genesteelers you see, which are dangerous aliens who will stop at nothing to kill you. These guys are HARD, and the slightest mistake you make can make you die in one hit. I recommend using cheats to play this game, as it can be frustrating to complete levels. I am using cheats in this video series.
Despite the difficulty, this game is very fun to play. This game has a lot of action and exploration to be enjoyed, and it is fun traveling through the varied levels. These include a spaceship, cave mazes, a library, a warehouse, and a cathedral where you search for the final boss. This game makes great use of narrative and storytelling, building up suspense between levels. You never know what's going to happen next after completing a mission. The graphics are decent on the PS1, even though the 3DO version has crisper and brighter graphics.
All foreign versions of this game were released in English only.
