It takes 4AA batteries or can be plugged in via a micro USB cord and power adapter. It doesn't come with batteries or a USB cord/power adapter.
It has a headphone jack (regular size) with volume controls. It doesn't come with headphones.
The game does not save high scores when the unit is turned off.
It looks gorgeous, plays great and comes with a nice box - what more do you need from life?
I found when the batteries got low, the coin counter increased and the ship jumped around so if that happens to you, try new batteries or plug it in.
I paid $35.00 for it and don't regret - to pay more, you'd have to be a big Space Invaders fan but it's pretty sweet, so even at full price you probably won't feel ripped off.
