0The previous state machine solution for this looked like it was trying to handle too many edge cases by transporting three atoms at a time. I didn't really want to touch improving that, too much work.
So work smarter, not harder. If you look at the full input order it is surprisingly ordered, with only five special cases being needed if each waldo handles just one atom. After figuring that out translating it into a fast and compact flip flop design to handle those special cases was pretty straight forward.
