12The players must once again help undercover policemen, Tony Gibson and Raymond Broady. Three girls were reported as kidnapped by a gang of criminals, including the mayor's daughter Jennifer. To solve the problem we modified a car with a custom gearbox with two speeds, high and slow. On the gear knob there is the turbo button, operating it for five seconds the car travels at high power driven by Nitro fuel.
Broady has taken over the driver's seat this time, while Gibson, as the passenger, serves as the gunman.
Also, instead of Nancy, Karen is the officer delivering reports of whom the criminal is pursuing, and what they are driving.
This time the red Nissan 300ZX T-Top Turbo is the new car for the protagonists, Tony Gibson and Raymond Broady (also known as Mr. Driver); the player must, again, help them catch up with various criminals' cars (which will be indicated by an arrow with the text "CRIMINAL" appearing above them once they are caught up with) within a minute, after which a flashing blue light appears on its roof and its siren starts to get heard from the Yamaha YM-2610.
They must then hit the criminals' cars until they are too damaged to keep going (while avoiding contact with all the other vehicles as they will cause it to spin out or go off the track, which costs time) within another minute - and as with the custom black Porsche from Chase H.Q., the car also has a Turbo Activator which can be used to make it accelerate to an incredible speed for a maximum of three times per stage and it must for a second time be used wisely to catch the criminals before time runs out.
However, Gibson can now also stick his head out of the car's sunroof and fire shots from his gun (first used by him and Broady in the spin-off game of Crime City earlier in 1989) at the randomly-generated CPU-controlled cars and other obstacles to destroy them; it's also worth noting that if the arcade operator has set the "Turbos Stocked" dip switch setting to "3", you shall get three Turbo Activator uses per stage, but on the sixth and final stage, you will only get one regardless of how the cabinet is set, and it must be used as you cannot clear the stage otherwise.
