A playthrough of the indie game Spectacle by GrahfMetal, a point-and-click adventure game inspired by the Kemco NES ports of Shadowgate, Deja Vu, and Uninvited. After trying to sneak into the Spectacle Circus you are teleported to a magical desert kingdom where you try to solve its mysteries in search of a way home.

The game is significantly longer and more complex than Grahfmetal's earlier game Infested as well as the aforementioned Kemco games, particularly due to the time mechanic for some puzzles that require you to be at a location at a specific moment. Likewise, the final dungeon randomizes the placement of traps whenever you start a new game, leave the dungeon, or die, so you must be attentive to find the right path. The engine room puzzle also has its levers randomized (the tree painting shows the solution).

There are some minor mistakes in gameplay but nothing too serious. I tried to examine and read most information but forgot to examine the tapestry for its second story (telling about the Shah and the oasis).

My thanks to Grahfmetal to pointing out the solution to obtaining the Open Sesame spell. The loose tile was overlooked and despite a lot of searching and a hint, I was completely stumped there. I similarly had some difficulties with placing the eye gem for the blue key and noticing the keyhole for the gold key (but eventually figured them out on my own). Others may be more attentive than me.

I will likewise upload a compilation of deaths for this game in the future. I have found most of them but haven't got the achievement to be killed by every monster so I'm clearly missing something.
