if there is a sensation I have always been fixated with in gaming, it is SPEED!
Going Fast is something that video games have been trying to capture since the beginning, and in this video we are looking into the history and feeling of going FAST.
From Sonic, racing Games, Spider-Man to Alien Vs Predator, CARS and Iron Man.

Speed, Quick, Slow down mate, Nimble, turbo and family all words connecting to one sensation going fast.
Speed in gaming isn't the law; it's a luxury we are mostly rewarded with for pushing that extra mile to explore beautiful combinations of controls and game feel.
I don't know the first thing about making games and making them succeed in a illusion of a sensation we have all seen and experienced in our lives, we know what going a little to fast feels like either you pushed a little to hard on the pedals of your car, you started running down a steeper hill or you lay face leading on a skateboard to crash jaw first in to a curb on a steep slope…..maybe that was one personal.
Certain games have an intense sensation of speed that you find yourself bracing into your seat leaning into the drifts and turns, a sensation that separates a good racing game to a great one.
As long as there have been video games and arcades there have been games that have tried to showcase intense speeds seen in Racing and movies, there have been many different approaches to the replication of the feeling and somehow done it great while others not so much.

Racing games are some of my personal favourites for both sentimental and gameplay reason, growing up there wasn't very many things I connected with when it came to me and sport games I didn't care for Football games, fishing or the college of sports games but I loved racing games, an I know I got this from both Dad and step Dad there was connecting tissue of seeing racing games from the PS1 to the Xbox 360 era I was able to watch these games as a viewer on the floor, as my Step Dad would spend hours on Dirt or taking time trials turn on the Project Gotham racing games.
But always growing up in the PlayStation 2 era with the likes of Needs for speed underground and its iconic soundtrack or even getting to seeing Gran Turismo 4 thinking it was the best looking racing game I had ever seen and with an abundance of Nintendo's influence, from F-Zero to Mario kart.
