In Unreal Editor, click View button and select Level Properties (or Press F6), in Level Properties window select LevelSummary and type something into "Author" bar and "Title" bar. This somehow fixes issue with pause and status menu.


Also, forgot to mention, when the game freezees because of Pause/Status menu, the command line (small green debug console) still works. You can even try to unfreeze yourself with some commands.
