There was probably a good 45 minutes spent JUST to achieve what you see. Watch until the end because I actually have some success but then I get casually slapped back down to earth quite literally.

So this game looks terrible, and I'd incline to agree because I have also heard terrible things about it. It's not actually THAT bad. The biggest problem with games like this is that is has to control OK or the whole experience is botched. I can actually control Spidey here, although it took some time to figure out.

The game works like this. You get 3 Spideys and your goal is not to make it to the top, but instead, you need to catch bad guys and defuse bombs. You can shoot straight up, but then you can't swing. If you shoot diagonally, you can swing. Once in place, you can even drop down if you'd like. You're far more mobile than you'd think. The issues come with the bad guys and what you can latch off of. You can only catch a bad guy by dropping on them or hitting them from the side. If you're off by a pixel and they are blocking your way instead, you fall. You do get a chance to catch yourself by shooting your web.

The closer you get to the top, the harder it becomes to latch on to something. It's infuriating to try and catch yourself in a fall because there is so much sky space and you'll probably catch yourself on the lower portion. The big problem with that is that there is a super bomb that triggers when you have caught so many bad guys or defused bombs. You don't know how many you have left. So if you run out of bombs to defuse and you have to go down and catch dudes, you might catch the last dude and find yourself WAY too far from the top. You get about what...10-15 seconds to haul to the very top? At least the Green Goblin doesn't really get in the way all that much.
