16In this episode we explain the spiritual ego and 9 steps to purify the spiritual ego, allowing us to experience more harmony and peace within ourselves and with others.
These 9 steps are foundational to all shadow work.
Steps for Purifying the Spiritual Ego/Nurturing Inner Peace:
1. Observe the Creator. The Creator will know itself. In every experience we are only always experiencing ourselves - our own thoughts, our own feelings, our own behaviors.
2. Be present and mindful.
3. Become aware of the existence of the spiritual ego. Notice how your spiritual ego is showing up in your experience.
Possibilities:
-Someone else is wrong - they need my help
-Identification: "I am a starseed", etc.
-Comparision - I am better/I am worse than others
4. Throughout your day, notice any moments when you lose your peace.
5. Feel any feelings that may arise.
6. Self-Inquiry: Ask yourself why: why did I lose my peace. Answer this question without justification or rationalizing.
7. What is my preferred highest and best orientation in this situation?
8. Put this new orientation into practice with a lot of self-love and gentleness.
