Splatoon 2 - Ver. 4.2.0 + November Update Batch (2/2)
*Read description first*
Because renovating the stage has to be released for Turf War two hours later after the update goes live. Who does this?
Key Notes:
The Reef's Renovation
- Generally speaking, the spawn points have been pushed further back to make more area to turf. This has the drawback of letting the enemy wander on the spots that used to be barred for entry (except the path that leads to your side's left side).
- The path to the right (or straight from the spawn point) can be accessed by enemies, but if you go there, note you or enemies can't come back up to the area around your spawn point anymore. You have to jump back to the spawn point.
- The rubber walls have been removed, and some little steps have been added under the bridge.
Ultra Stamp
- It's a giant hammer in anything but name.
- The stamp allows you to stamp once and then follow it up with a rushing stampede until you decide to stop it or let it go till your gauge empties out. Doing the stampede leaves you wide open from the back and the sides, but any attacks coming from the front are completely nullified as you keep stamping. Be mindful that you may completely miss stamping an enemy down if they barely got away from the blows.
- If foes are real close to you, you can jump and swing the weapon in midair, which can splat them if they get hit.
- You can also throw the stamper to splat a target, if you can aim it right. Doing so will immediately end the special at any point you use it, though.
Torpedo
- It's a homing missile that locks on the closest target and burst into one average explosion that then spreads into smaller ones. It is incapable of splatting an enemy in one shot, though. If no enemies are nearby, it behaves just like a weaker Splat Bomb and won't take flight.
- This is designed to apply pressure on the enemy. The Torpedo can be easily shot down by even the weakest of hits.
- Like other bombs, you can't throw more than one Torpedo at a time.
Kensa Splattershot Jr.
- Unlocks at level 9.
- It comes with the Torpedo and Bubble Blower special. Because of the Torpedo, you can burst the bubbles very quickly, since it's very easy and fast to toss two Torpedos in less than one second one after another into the bubbles.
Kensa L-3 Nozzlenose
- Unlocks at level 27.
- It's armed with the Splash Wall and Ultra Stamp. The wall is sweet for this semi long-range weapon. It can also help block the path from incoming enemies behind you so you can chase one down with the stamper.
Kensa Octobrush
- Unlocks at level 20.
- It's got an offensive set with Suction Bombs and the Ultra Stamp. If we can get a little technical about it, it's possible to shut off a target from escaping your rampage by tossing a bomb ahead of them and then using the stamper to almost guarantee a splat.
Kensa Undercover Brella
- Unlocks at level 24.
- The Torpedo and Ink Armor make this umbrella fit for those engaging enemies one-on-one. Note the fact activating the Ink Armor can instantly replenish a broken brella shield.
Watch, enjoy, and comment, everyone.
