Splatoon 3: Coming back in Rainmaker [10(3)-3, Sploosh-o-matic]
We're not bursting the Rainmaker free, I know it. I sit back and watch, inking around, looking for a splat. I find one too, except it's mine. My squidmates aren't having better luck, and our absence gives the blue team an early lead, up to and beyond the checkpoint. I come back inking, getting a splat but neatly bamboozled by the Splatana Wiper, and it's only my squidmates that stop the seemingly inexorable advance, turning the Rainmaker around.
As my squidmates push forwards, I take another path, skirting this way and that, trying to be unexpected. It might work, not that it gets me splats, and I think it's the Rainmaker and chums doing well that's letting them advance. I finally help when I jump ahead and splat the inkling jumping on to the checkpoint, freeing it up for our carrier. Nice!
I keep going forwards, getting another splat, and twist to Hammer anyone in my way. The sign stops me, which is hilarious, and the Wiper comes back with some protection. That doesn't save them from the throw, though. We just need the Rainmaker to get to where I am, so I turn to find out where it is, getting another splat, but the Rainmaker is dropped anyway.
I super-jump back, our position looks strong, but the Rainmaker is in blue tentacles. I drop back and jink around, where I am not quite as expected. Pushing past the dropped Rainmaker gets me two splats, and circling back, with some caution, finds the Rainmaker in the right spot for a quick steal-and-dunk! Except a squidmate steals it from me. Still, job's a good 'un. Woomy!
