Split Second Gameplay - The Racing Game EVERYBODY Needs To Play
38Just a short clip from an arcade racer I can't get enough called Split/Second.
Developed by Blackrock Studios in 2010 and published by Disney, this is a racing game I can recommend to anyone regardless if that person likes racing games or not.
I mean just look at the footage. The sense of speed, the adrenaline rush, the explosions and the music just make this one of the best popcorn spectacle racers. Sadly, Disney shut down Blackrock Studios so the chance of getting a sequel to this game is next to none on account of the game not selling too well.
My guess is that Split/Second (and Blur, another awesome racing game that suffered the same fate) were released in a time were racing games were more focused to be more simulation and realistic and arcade racers have just fallen out of the radar. It's a shame really...
Anyway, you can still get Split/Second on Steam. So if you like what you see, give it a shot. Be warned that the game is capped at 30 FPS... I still love this game regardless. :)
