SpongeBob SquarePants the Cosmic Shake 2023 playthrough chapter 3 - The Karate King
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a 2023 platform game developed by Purple Lamp Studios and published by THQ Nordic. It is based on the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants and was released for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One on January 31, 2023.
The Cosmic Shake is a 3D platformer. As SpongeBob, the player navigates through several distinctly themed worlds, known as ''Wish Worlds" within the game, with the aid of Patrick, who has been transformed into a balloon. Throughout the game, SpongeBob learns a variety of combat and traversal abilities, including Spin Attack, Glide, Karate Kick, and Fishhook Swing.
During a visit to the Glove World theme park, SpongeBob and Patrick encounter Madame Kassandra, a mermaid fortune teller who sells them a bottle of "magic bubble soap" that can make their dreams come true. After purchasing the soap and returning home, SpongeBob blows bubbles to make his friends' dreams come true. Patrick then reads the bottle's label to find that it is actually a bottle of Mermaid Tears and is the property of King Neptune, not to be used by mortals. SpongeBob's bubbles then cause mayhem as it opens a portal and sucks up buildings and his friends into several "Wish Worlds" while covering Bikini Bottom in a substance called Cosmic Jelly, the building blocks of reality.
SpongeBob and Patrick, who has been transformed into a balloon, traverse through the seven Wish Worlds to save their friends and Bikini Bottom with the help of Madame Kassandra, who gives SpongeBob a cosmic costume for each respective world he visits in exchange for Cosmic Jelly. Unbeknownst to SpongeBob and Patrick, Madame Kassandra has her own villainous intentions. Locations within the game include Bikini Bottom, Wild West Jellyfish Fields, Karate Downtown Bikini Bottom, Pirate Goo Lagoon, Halloween Rock Bottom, Prehistoric Kelp Forest, Medieval Sulfur Fields, and Jelly Glove World.
Welcome to the Karate King world! In this universe, Squidward is the director and now he is planning to make the greatest film sensation of all time across the sea: The Karate King! Hmm....something's not right about the world in overall though. Squidward is kinda demanding and stern here while Pearl tried to make sure that everything is according to the director.
The first thing Spongebob must do is start making some action while following the camera frame (Got myself going out of frame several times which lead to instant death for Spongebob and have to repeat the cutscene again which is why you will be seeing an abrupt change in the editing because I failed at this section several times)
Before Spongebob go to Squidward-director, he must first find the hidden paparazzi to protect Squidward's reputation from being stained and second act is having Spongebob to hit several of the crews who will pop out from the barrels while making sure not to hit Patrick as he got dragged into the mess without his consent (I also cut and edited this section so many times because of a glitch that makes you stuck in the barrel hole forever if you land inside the barrel without instantly pressing the jump button after the kick button. I will let you see the glitch first before I cut the rest of the same glitches repeating in this particular section).
Next....third act: Saving the fish actors who are stuck before time runs out and fourth...chasing the bad guy but how to do that? Especially with Spongebob here doesn't have a driver license and scared of driving. One thing: Spongebob used a unicycle to chase the bad guy
The last act was heading to the dojo and face Sandy in a final showdown. Here's the hardest part: You have to find a way to reach the top where the Dojo is and to do that...remember all the parkour and the button mashing the game taught you or you will get confused. Climbing to the top wasn't easy despite I did it first time (Without practice or trying the game first)
After Spongebob defeat Sandy, she decided to go back to Bikini Bottom and leave the Karate King world once and for all.
