In Night School Studio's Oxenfree, Alex (Erin Yvette) is part of a group of high school students that illicitly spend the night on a tourist trap island (and former military base). And then something strange happens. Even though this is the whole “teenagers goofing off in the woods and something otherworldly happens, it feels more campfire spooky than Jason Kruger slasher scary.
