Last Cool Spot game, we promise. We had the "bright idea" to make a 7up block on the schedule this year and it blew up in our faces like a can of 7up that someone shook up before handing it to us.
Whereas the other two Spot games were console releases, Spot: The Cool Adventure is a game for the Nintendo Game Boy and eagle-eyed viewers might notice something... awry... with the graphics and gameplay here. Those tree stumps look familiar don't they? So does that snail enemy. And picking up blocks to throw them around? Is this... is this MC Kids?
Yes. It is. This game is known as McDonaldland in Europe, but for some reason all McDonald's iconography was replaced with 7UP for the North American release. Or maybe the inverse happened instead. No idea why. What we're left with is a slightly jank MC Kids game inexplicably featuring Spot instead of Mick and Mack, and the game isn't THAT bad? But it's definitely the runt of the litter. It has a weird HP/lives system, the jumping & momentum physics seem wrong, and the final boss is completely RNG and if he decides you're going to die then you have no counter to that.
Unlike the previous Spot run though, Draco finishes this. Heh.
