You guys asked for it! This is one of my favorite songs from the series and I'm glad I could hit this one up since my covers have been rather dark lately. Happy metal is so much fun to arrange and perform and the music from the Sonic games really deliver perfect compositions for it. Spring Yard Zone never really stuck with me as a kid for some reason, but after getting a nostalgia trip from a bunch of other artists covering this one, I couldn't not give it a try as well!

I think the reason after three years that this never gets old for me, is just being able to try completely new things in a cover and feel totally okay about it. While arranging I literally just said, "Mmm, let's do a jazz solo here because why not." This is the first solo I did that was completely on the spot improv, it's not the best but I'm looking to improve my Jazz skills and thought the chords in this song would do nicely for a Jazz super noob. Also walked the bass line for the part improvised as well! Besides that, it was a fun song to cover and felt pretty standard with no surprises. Except maybe some less than normal faces, but I suppose most people will be far from surprised at those I guess. If there is any problems with the mix, I may or may not have won myself a slight Eustachian tube malfunction in my right ear from gigging the past weekend. I'll be alright but just wanted to say something in case mix is leaning to much to one side or something, Haha!

Also, thanks to Viper Strapz for sending me a new strap! It feels so much better than my other one and I hope to use it in all my videos thus far!

Next week I'm bringing you another very happy tune, and this one is a CLASSIC. Don't miss it! :D
