Spyker 1X-2 - First test!!
This is the all new 1X-2 model snowblower from @thegreatestmoo, released a little less than a month ago. It is able to handle 6+ inches of snow depth, a inch or so wider path than the old 1X snowblower, and has so many improvements. HUGE thanks to Ryan for sending me out the plans for free!!
The blower has essentially been re-developed from the ground up, with integrated slipper clutches in both the auger and impeller, a full light kit (I did not install this), a full 360 chute, adjustable throwing distance, and a simpler, more robust design. Check out this brand new blower here! - https://spykerworkshop.com/product-category/3d-printed-snowblower/
The blower is mounted to my custom tracked vehicle, which is 99% 3d printed. The top of the cab is my own design, and the bottom portion was designed by @HowToMechatronics. More info available here on the build, and specs. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99uNnLmjAPo&t=23s
This is my first test of the blower, and I believe the first documented video of it on YouTube, other than Spyker Workshops videos about assembly and tests; Link to his test here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jg4cn1-C14k
The blower kept riding up on the snow because I forgot to tighten the bottom mount; whoops lol. The weird oscillating sound is a result of the front auger blades being in line with each other, feeding too much snow at one time. I have fixed this, and hopefully get to test it soon! This test was done with a 2S battery and a 1800kv 3665 brushless motor; It really wants 3S, or more gearing!
Be sure to subscribe and like the video, many more videos with the old 1X and the new 1X-2 on the way once we get more snow, along with build videos!
