Spyro the Dragon (Reignited Trilogy) - Part 33: Gnasty Gnorc & Ending
After all of this time, it was finally time for Spyro the Dragon to take down Gnasty Gnorc, himself.
With that said, the final Skill Point that Reignited Trilogy added to Spyro 1 is to defeat Gnasty without taking a single hit from his attacks. I don’t finish this boss until that happens, so I reset with less lives, here.
----------
First, you have to catch a green thief and take his key for a door, then chase another thief for his key. The second key will lower the stairs where Gnasty is, and then you’ll have to chase him down, too. You can take some time collecting all of the Gems.
After a few loops, and a flame attack later, Gnasty retreats into a facility, where the platforms are slowly disappearing. Since Reignited Trilogy actually heightened Spyro’s charge jump in Spyro 1, getting through here is now a lot easier.
So then, at the end, torch Gnasty one more time, and he’ll finally be toast!
----------
Spyro then makes a triumphant return to Stone Hill back in Artisans for his own interview after saving the Dragon Kingdom from the Gnorc. However, he didn’t stay for long, as he still had more treasure to collect.
This time, the whole interview occurs while an annoying sheep tries to join in on it, in typical fashion, Spyro roasts him, too.
The credits sequence is much longer than any of the 3 games in their PS1 forms. It’s all the exact same for finishing each game here, too. So I’m only going to show this once.
Much of the artwork shown here has Spyro hanging out with some of the adult dragons he freed. Some of these situations are quite cute and hilarious.
The very end of the picture has what looks to be the entire main development staff of this Reignited Trilogy from Toys for Bob. How nice! They even brought their dogs?
----------
After the entire credits sequence, you're back at Gnorc Nexus, and somehow, another dragon has appeared in the center of it. The dragon freed from here is that awesome big and proud one from Beast Makers: Magus.
Even though Spyro had dealt with Gnasty Gnorc at this point, there was one more green dragon head in the area that had yet to open. According to Magnus, that leads into a Gnasty's treasure cove. In order to access it, you need to get 100% in everything in Spyro 1. That means collecting all 12,000 Gems, all 12 dragon eggs, and freeing all 80 dragons.
Luckily, I did just that from freeing Magnus again, here. The true final level of Spyro 1 is called Gnasty's Loot. I'll cover that in a future video before I move onto Spyro 2 in Reignited Trilogy.
----------
See me toast this Grorc and kick his butt in the PS1 version, here!:
