Spyro vs Gulp Challenge - Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage
4A second boss in the Spyro 2- Ripto's rage game. Gulp is also an easy boss when you keep running and jumping. Not this time though, this video shows that Spyro will not run and jump at all.
So, how did I do it?
First, NEVER and I mean NEVER, EVER, let Gulp eats the White explosive barrel or rocket. This is because this guarantees hit spyro if you do not jump or run. White barrel grants Gulp fireball spit with a very narrow space area to dodge without jumping. On the other hand, rocket will chase you for long time. You can't outrun this rocket for sure and it is guaranteed to hit you. You can allow Gulp to eat bomb because that is easy to dodge.
Next, his A.I Pattern is predictable but hard to dodge when he charges at you (if you try to interrupt his attack). When he shoots you with cannon weapon, simple just walk circle and you can dodge easily.
To get two hits in a row, have Spyro eats a rocket first and then stay near the second rocket. Quickly eats the rocket again after you shoot it to Gulp.
Finally, interrupting Gulp is the hardest one because sometimes he can cancel his intention to eat the weapons and charge at you, making you have no time to dodge. I failed so many times because of this.
There are three ways to interrupt him:
1. When he attempts to eat weapon, just spit fire breath to bomb or charge the white barrel or eat the rocket right away before Gulp.
2. After he eats weapon, quickly use the weapons to deal damage and he will never release the weapon he just ate.
3. When he charges at you, simply attack him using weapons.
