Before we begin Round 3 of Squid Game, you'll have to survive the night. Fortunately, I've got your back, making the level much easier than it was intended to be, and you should beat it no problem. Right?

Level ID: 2K0-CJ5-Y1G
Starless Version: N6J-QTP-NGF

That's Right. Now, you get to see what it's like to play THE squid game, on the Nintendo Switch! Of course, I couldn't make the experience just like the actual thing, you still get to keep your life if you lose. I know. Bummer. But hey, Mario will lose a life, which isn't far off! (Regular; Keep reading for more important details)

(Also, I don't like to poke at people's patience by telling them to like and subscribe, but if you do that, I want to let you know you're helping out my channel, and you have my gratitude 🐧😁 )

SPOILER LINE!!!

Now, WHY did I make this level? Is it really necessary?
Well, if you've watched Squid Game Episode 4, you'll have some idea where I'm getting this from. Player 111 is a doctor who is conspiring with some of the Squid Game Workers to harvest organs from eliminated players to sell them onto the black market. During one of those scenes in that episode, a soldier warns the doctor that he will have to "Survive the Night". As a fight broke down earlier and a man lost his life, the Soldiers were well aware that the contestants were going to try to kill other opponents during the night. And the staff wanted that to happen to lower the contestant count. There are key clues that this was planned, and since this riot was planned (and wiped out 27 of the remaining contestants), I counted this as a challenge, and made a level out of it! Bet you're not going to see this elsewhere, are you?

Why are there so many Zap sound effects? And why the pow blocks?
The Zap Sound effects are supposed to represent the Flashing lights that take place during the riot scene. And that also comes into play to what I said before about this being staged and planned. However, I started to realize that the Zap sound effect had a cooldown of a few seconds, which I wasn't pleased to see (and might be why I don't see that many Night-Ghost levels out there...)
Since most enemies are hidden by the darkness, I placed POW blocks in particular areas so the player would have a better idea of where to go. The Fire Bars serve that purpose as well. I intended to give only the zap sound effects as a light source, but the level was near impossible, both to beat and to avoid a high boo ratio.

What is with the falling Bullet Blasters?
They are supposed to represent the bunk beds that fell over. Yes. Some of the 6-layer bunk beds fell over. It's free real-estate, contestants were going to do what they could to kill their competition. Bet you want to stay on the bottom of bunk beds now...

Why's Ludwig here?
Besides being my favorite Koopaling (Reason - I guess his name was Ludwig before finding out his name is Ludwig. No cap.), he represents the gangster, Deok Su (Player 101). Since Deok Su was a scourge during this event, I had to include him.

I'm sure I can guess what the bloopers represent...
Yup! You're right. They represent the workers! It is SQUID Game after all. So I started to realize how my mascot, Blooperman could profit from this viral trend. I digress. The ones on Munchers are the workers (Circles), The ones on cannons are the soldiers (Triangles), and the ones on Blasters are the managers (Squares). The Front Man is a Muncher on a Stiletto Shoe since the Front Man has a different type of mask compared to the other workers. And Player 1 is the blue spike top.

Why is there singing near the end?
It's a joke to Somacguffin's 3 Minute Summary Video, where Player 1 sings a clip from Bohemian Rhapsody to cry for help, so that inspired me to implement that into the level.

Collect Coins. Survive the Crowd. That's the Squid Game experience you've been waiting for! Where Squid Roam the streets, the workers wear pink coats and a mask! It's got to be none other than Squid game!

It won't matter if you have a bulky team or not. All you need is a good strategy to survive the next game!
