The infinite recovery exploit is back! There are a lot fewer candidates than in SSB4 and only one of them works in normal smash. However, for what this game has to offer in terms of customization, I'd say the results were pretty good.

These are the characters that can jump infinitely in a light smash with floaty jump spirits equipped:
-Pichu (down special)
-Pikachu (down special)
-R.O.B. (down air)
-Greninja (side special)
-King K. Rool (up air)
-Mii Swordfighter (3rd neutral special)

The only character that can perform the infinite jump in normal smash (including online) is Mega Man. With the ability "instadrop," Mega Man can return to Rush (up special) in midair and bounce on him a second time, which grants Mega Man another use of his up special. By repeating this process, Mega Man will slowly gain height until he accidentally instadrops to his doom.
