SSX - Mac World Circuit - Snowdream Race
SSX (Snowboard Supercross) a.k.a エクストリーム・レーシング SSX (X-treme Racing SSX) is the first in a series of snowboarding video games published by EA Sports BIG. It was the first game to be published under the brand, which specializes in extreme sports titles with an unrealistic or arcade feel. As such, the game's exaggerated jumps, highly decorated mountain runs and improbable tricks make it a classic example of an EA Sports BIG title. It was developed by EA Canada and released with the launch of the PlayStation 2 on October 26, 2000. It was widely regarded by critics as one of the best PS2 launch games, thanks to its depth, gameplay, and graphics. The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences awarded SSX with 5 awards, including "Console Sports Game of The Year" and "Racing Game of The Year". The Executive Producer and creative leader of SSX was Steve Rechtschaffner, who was also the inventor of the now Olympic snowboard event called Boardercross, which served as the inspiration for the game.

Snowdream is the first and easiest course of SSX, and the second course in SSX Tricky. Snowdream is located in Japan, like Tokyo Megaplex. In SSX, Snowdream gives the player an introduction to the game, as it is a great beginner level, and not too long. It has a vertical drop of 826 meters (2710 feet) and a course length of 2860 meters (9383 feet).

Mackenzie Fraser (known by the nickname Mac) is a character from the video game series SSX (Snowboard Supercross). He has appeared in all the games, along with Kaori Nishidake, Elise Riggs, and Zoe Payne; he does not appear in PAL version of SSX Tricky, as his position was filled by Martin "Marty" Stieber.
In the original SSX, Mac is 15 years old; however, he ages throughout the series, being 18 in 'SSX 3', and 20 in 'SSX On Tour'. Mac begins as a cool and young teenager with a love of snowboarding. He is always the first on the mountain, the last off, and he rarely takes a break in between. Mac makes his own music, giving him a positive groove when snowboarding. As he gets older he gets a little more mature, but his spirit remains the same.
New to the competitive scene and striving for respect, Mac rides with the stylish flare and quiet confidence of riders twice his age.
