Hotel Gellért is a real hotel in Budapest. This map was the 2nd attempt on adapting it's beautiful premises for CS:GO as a part of a community design collaboration between r.man and KODIAK.
However, unlike the first time this version was aimed at classic, balanced, competitive gameplay. There are three main differences between the two variants. Namely in St. Gellert the random spawning is gone, the Music Hall was cut and Bombsite A was moved to the Bath Entrance. It was development hell for one additional year, iterating on a once finished project. Constantly changing layouts and testing them thoroughly, all for the hopes of a possible Operation featuring, which never became true...

The era of CS:GO had ended last year. In case one day "csgo_legacy mode" may go away as well, this video will be an aesthetic archive of the final updated version for the game.
