Stackathon Presentation: Keyboard Cat
Keyboard Cat is a simple game where you try to keep from falling by bouncing on musical notes, based on the game Winterbells by Orisinal.
Jason Choe created this game using a game development library called Phaser-CE. Because of the simplicity of the game, it was important to him to get a smooth playing experience where the controls and presentation felt good, which was challenging for someone new to game development.
Jumping on β(flat) symbols doubles your current score, and rarely there will be a rainbow note that unlocks a bonus Nyan Cat mode with additional score, re-renders the player model, background, and music based on the old viral Nyan Cat Youtube video.
