S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - Heart of Chornobyl #156: How I Got The Mark 1 EMR
I was taking a break from returning to the southern Lesser Zone. I set out to the north-west and visited Pol Depot, taking my usual path on the large pipeline on the eastern side. There I first met some zombified Stalkers and then the typical Bandits, where I looted both groups and returned to Zalissya.
Then I set out again, same direction, but this time I diverted to go back to the Poppy Fields. I first stopped at the Farmhouse, again meeting the same Loner that lies to me and says he is about to leave. Then I moved on to see if there was any change to Pomor. He was exactly as I left him. I had noticed that Mityay had disappeared from Zalissya and I thought he might be here. However, he actually lived in the house closest to the cellar, that I would need to check out.
I went back to the barn nearby, still trying to figure out a way to get in that loft, where there is a body that I cannot reach. That is when I ran into a Bloodsucker. I was not wanting to engage it or waste the ammo, so I ran from the scene, going eastward along the river's edge, running to the Paddlewheel Launch. Luckily it did not pursue me. From there I was north of Pol Depot, so I decided to return.
As I got closer, I heard a lot of gunfire and explosions. I climbed on a nearby drum storage tank and looked around. There was an I.P.S.F. soldier coming through an opening on the western side. Oddly I didn't see any others with him as he was engaging Bandits. I shot all and looted all. There were a whole lot more dropped weapons on the ground. That is how I found the Mark 1 EMR rifle. I soon left and returned to Zalissya, where Lens repaired them all. I sold all the used weapons but kept the Mark 1 EMR, even though for now, I could not buy any ammo for it. It was a wild day.
