S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl (Part 44)
I've figured out why this game's chimera doesn't work.
So in the original trilogy, you could reload your guns while sprinting. Call of Pripyat in particular, you could use this to reload guns mid-fight against the Chimera while sprinting to dodge its attack.
STALKER 2 got rid of this, for some dumb reason (probably ""realism""), which means you cannot sprint while reloading your guns, which means it's borderline impossible to dodge the Chimera's leap when it gets that close to the player.
Ideally, the best ways they could rework this, would be to either:
~Add a cooldown to the chimera's leap (or increase it, if the leap already has a cooldown)
~Add a minimum distance from the player the Chimera needs to be at before it can do a leap (if it has this, make the minimum distance much farther from the player)
...Or, y'know, bring back the ability to reload while sprinting.
As it stands right now though, I am going to be using the 80% health nerf on the Chimera to try and compensate for the fact I cannot reload guns while sprinting, and the leap is not engaging in the slightest with how it is currently implemented.
