Happy 31st Anniversary STAR FOX! (Super Famicom version) which was released today, 21 February 1993. Star Fox is a 3D spaceship rail-shooter game developed by Nintendo & Argonaut Software, and first published by Nintendo for Super Famicom on 21 February 1993.

This game considered as the first Nintendo game to use polygonal graphics, which achieved with the Super FX graphics chip included in the cartridge.

Star Fox is one of the earlier polygon games in 16-bit home console (along with Falcon and Gunboat on PC Engine / Turbografx16 on 1992). It utilize the Super FX chip inside cartridge to give the 3D expterience.

Star Fox received critical acclaim and is often considered one of the greatest video games of all time. It sold more than 4 million copies and established the Star Fox series as a flagship Nintendo franchise.

The Super FX chip is notable for being the first 3D accelerator used in a consumer-grade product, and also for becoming the best-selling RISC processor of that time.
