This video shows an easy way to get all the character endings in Star Ocean IAF on your own. It does NOT show the endings themselves. I tried to do this with as little spoilers as possible.

This method revolves around crafting Emotional Destabilizers, which lower the affection of a party member. You can craft this item from components that can all be purchased. So I'll lay this out in steps. The other way to change affection is through PA's, but it's not worth it to try and manipulate them that way. It's easier to just erase any they have.

Love Potion 256 makes them love you more, but it's harder to craft, so I recommend just using any you've picked up during the game. I found the ones in the video that I used. Crafting Emotional Destabilizers is much easier.

First, to prepare.

You'll need to do a few things to prepare:

First is some money. Not very much, if you have more than 100k you'll be fine, and it shouldn't be anywhere near that even.

Second is to have Level 4 Compounding Specialty.

Third is completing the 3 Ruddle quests where you find where he's at in the world. After the third he will set up a shop in the Central Resulia inn after you turn the quest in.

Fourth is buy the necessary items. You'll want to buy Demon tails from ruddle, I recommend enough to make at least 64 potions (16 Destabilizers per character), but even better is to just get 99 to be sure. You can test less at your liesure. So buy 64 Demon tails. Then find a merchant that sells Empty Bottles and buy 64. Then go to a merchant that sells blueberries, blackberries, etc., and buy 20 Lavendar. You need more, but that's all you can carry. You'll have to use the Bunny Familiar skill to buy more in the dungeon.

Fifth is to make 20 Destabilizers (all you can hold at once), then refill your Lavender. DO NOT GIVE THEM TO ANYONE YET!!!!

You'll want to do the above before the point where the game warns you that you may not be able to return to Faykreed, signaling the end game. Make a backup save.

Then follow the flow all the way to the end of the game, where you reach a save point in front of the final boss. Make another backup save, so you can redistribute the Destabilizers to get the desired ending.

Repeat until you have all endings. Feel free to give each character as many destabilizers as you are comfortable with. If you have 99 of the Demon Tail and Empty bottle, you can make around 24 for each character you don't want to have the ending for. 8 Destabilizers per character (except Miki, I erased hers earlier because it was my first ending in my first game) and 7 Love Potion 256 was enough to get the rest of the endings. You may want extra to account for Miki, as the game's PA's are skewed toward her ending.

I do not know how long it takes to get the bunny familiar to deliver the items. I usually get them after a couple of battles, but it takes a while sometimes in the final boss area.
