This is a rendition of the 1971 Mike Mayfield Star Trek game written in 1979 for the Bally Professional Arcade using BASIC by Scott Waldinger. This particular game was typed in from an unpublished code listing scanned in on the Ballyalley.com website by myself; Waldinger sold cassette copies and the type-in instructions circa 1979 but the listing was never printed in any newsletters or magazines. This game is written for the 300-baud Bally BASIC cartridge, though ballyalley.com as of this writing intends on hosting a 2000-baud AstroBASIC cart conversion.

This game uses the keypad to select one of five actions: move, fire phasers, power on shields, do a short range scan, or do a long range scan. I did not figure out how to move the ship successfully while recording this video. To fire on a Klingon ship, you must first do a short range scan to get the targeting trajectory. Then when firing you simply type in that number and the Enterprise will fire. Your shields help keep you from being destroyed; Waldinger indicates that a good number to set those at is between 150 and 250 energy points (with the ship starting with 300 energy overall).
