EA finally went too far with their microtransactions in terms of loot boxes and now they've had to start stepping back. Electronic Arts has temporarily disabled buying lootboxes in Starwars Battlefront 2 with real money while they (supposedly) re-balance the system. They've also started making changes to other games with similar systems like the new Need for Speed.
