So, I had the idea in my head awhile back that I wanted to remake a previous splitscreen comparison I'd uploaded between the Endor level in Sega's Star Wars Trilogy Arcade (1998) and the Endor Chase training section in Star Wars Battlefront (2015), because the two sections are like modern and retro versions of each other. I wanted to remake the comparison because there was stuff about the first video I'd made that I wasn't happy with (I was using the PC version of Battlefront and was getting slow down in the video capture due to FRAPS. Also, back then I still had a 4:3 monitor and I didn't like seeing the Battlefront video come out like that - it just looks wrong in a modern game). I'd also made a Hoth comparison back then as well.

Now, once I started putting footage together for the Endor Chase, I began thinking, 'Why not re-do Hoth as well? In fact, sod it, let's just do a complete playthrough of Star Wars Trilogy Arcade and compare all the stuff from both Battlefront 1 and 2 that's most similar' - so I have! I've already released the Endor Chase video as a bit of a teaser and also some footage of the bonus 'duels' from SWTA, as it's only recently that someone over at the Supermodel forum figured out how to get the controls working properly in those sections.

Both the space fighter sections in SWTA (Battle of Yavin, Battle of Endor) feature the Death Star, so the closest stage to that I could think of to use was the Death Star II Debris map from BF2 (there is a Fighter Squadron Death Star map in BF1, but it's only accessible from a specific multiplayer mode, which no one plays anymore... Yeah, it's shit, I know). I've used a combination of first person and third person gameplay here (I normally always play 3rd person).

The ideal way to have done the bonus stagesin SWTA would've been some 2P Hero Vs Hero (using the Tattoine Jabba skiff map from BF1 with one player as Boba and the other player as Luke and then using the Death Star 2 map from BF2 with one player as Vader and the other as Luke), but I didn't have any friends handy to that do that, so I've just stuck to me playing as Boba Fett and Darth Vader on those maps instead.

Anyway, hope you enjoy!
