Sega Rally Revo tracks in Sega Rally 3!!! TeknoParrot 1.64
I figured out, with some helpful advice from some of the guys over at the BYOAC forum, how to swap out the default tracks from the arcade version of Sega Rally 3, being played on TeknoParrot 1.64 with tracks from the PC version of Sega Rally Revo. Why would you want to do this, you may ask? Revo had sucky handling and a very inconsistent frame-rate. SR3 has far superior handling and a rock steady 60 fps frame-rate. Being able to swap Revo tracks into the game is pretty mind blowing. It essentially creates a brand new game… and there are quite a lot of tracks in Revo, meaning you can make yourself lots of different versions of the game, all with different tracks. Mind = Blow even more!
OK, I will update the description and explain how you can get this working yourselves, but right now it’s very late and I’ve got to get up early for work tomorrow, so night, night! Edit: Actually it'll probably be easier to just throw together a quick video tutorial over the weekend, tah trying to explain it here. It's not particularly hard, but it'll be easier with moving pictures.
(I still had the game set on 'Hard' difficulty here).
